PAFA Presents: SOCIAL MEDIA AND IT°S IMPACT ON YOUNG PEOPLE'S MENTAL HEALTH

Description

Dear 4th and 5th grade caregivers,

Join us at Putnam Ave Upper School for a workshop on:

SOCIAL MEDIA AND IT'S IMPACT ON YOUNG PEOPLE'S MENTAL HEALTH.
Presented by PAFA

Social media is now a part of almost everyone's life, but none more so than our young population.

It has revolutionized the way in which we communicate and share information, both as individuals and as a society. If you have a teenager, especially one with a cell phone, it may seem impossible to limit the amount of time they spend on social media. However, it is important that caregivers have open conversations with young people about the risk associated with social media.

This workshop will present an overview of the mental health challenges associated with social media. And tips on how to engage with young people on their use of social media in a positive and productive way.
