Please go to https://cpsd-us.zoom.us/j/93602371801?pwd=h2Vj9dCdCzbYvhe2R7NoxhXfTHopAo.1Note: The Curriculum & Achievement Subcommittee will convene for a presentation by district administration on the suite of literacy assessments currently administered at the elementary level in Cambridge Public Schools.District staff will provide an overview of each assessment tool used to measure elementary literacy, including but not limited to MCAS, iReady, and mCLASS. For each assessment, the presentation will cover: what the assessment looks like from a student's perspective (format, duration, and administration context); what specific literacy skills and competencies the assessment is designed to measure; and how each assessment relates to and complements the others in providing a complete picture of student literacy development.The purpose of this session is to provide Subcommittee members with a clear and practical understanding of what the district's literacy data indicates, as well as its limitations. This discussion is intended to support members in more effectively interpreting assessment results when they are presented to the Committee.This is an informational presentation only. No policy proposals will be introduced or deliberated.
