Classroom Connectors Program 2025-26

Our teachers are tasked with a myriad of responsibilities, but many hands make light work, and that’s where our Classroom Connectors come in - to lend a hand….

....collecting supplies for a fun art project.
....organizing snack donations for a classroom celebration.
....welcoming all families into the Morse School community.

What is the Classroom Connectors Program?

Friends of Morse operates the Classroom Connectors Program with the goal of connecting caregivers with teachers to build a strong community both in and out of the classroom. When families get involved and teachers feel supported, everyone benefits!

Over the past few years our Classroom Connectors have been instrumental in creating a culture of collaborative family-school partnerships. We welcome you to join FMS as we embark on another exciting school year of supporting our students and families.

🍎 Are you interested in being a Classroom Connector? Complete our Classroom Connectors Volunteer Interest Form to get started!

All Morse School teachers are invited to participate! For teachers looking for support, let your classroom families know by inviting folks to volunteer.

Need to know more? Please reach out to Amelia Eichen, FMS Chair of the Classroom Connectors Program (amelia@friendsofmorse.org).

So, what do I actually have to do?

Specifics will vary based on classroom and teacher needs and preferences, but generally, here are the expectations:

💙 Caregiver Volunteers:

  • Offer support to the teacher, and respond quickly when they put out a request.
  • Be the glue that brings together the community of families with students in the classroom.
  • Gather and share information.
  • Participate in teacher requested projects.
  • Organize family gatherings.

🍎 Teachers:

  • Meet with your volunteer(s) upfront to get to know them and set expectations.
  • Determine where and how you could use assistance from your volunteer(s).

And that's it! The effort can be as large or small as you make it. And the return is usually outsized.

💙 Caregiver Volunteers:

  • Have fun!
  • Get to know the fellow families in your classroom.
  • Sustain a culture of collaboration.
  • Get an extra $100 from FMS to fund family gatherings.

🍎 Teachers:

  • Have support readily available for a variety of needs.
  • Get help with enlisting caregiver support and streamlining classroom communications.

And don't forget you always have FMS support beyond what you get from your Classroom Connector ($$, volunteers, and other resources)! Contact Amelia, FMS Chair of the Classroom Parent Program (amelia@friendsofmorse.org) for further details.
